David Bowie in pencil

I love David Bowie so I decided to draw him. I looked though some photographs of him and this one caught my eye, I really liked his expression and how different his face is to everyone else's, he would never blend into a crowd.

I started by sketching the outlines and features using a B2 pencil, once i was satisfied with the proportions I started building up the tone on his face using a B pencil, once that was completed I started filling in and shading the the hair with the same pencil.

As you can see I then moved onto drawing and filling in the scarf, which I had to measure out in sections using a B6 pencil for depth.
 Hope you all like it.

Arian Behzadi

Arian Behzadi is a collage illustrator, I particularly like his work when he uses alot of dark tones, as they are simple yet very bold and effective.

Although the dark and light tones are simple, the detail used in this drawing are so delicate which I find very interesting, I also think it adds to the contrasting features in each of his images.

These are my favorate three pieces by this artist.

Tabby kittens and ink!

My friend got married a couple of weeks ago and as soon as he told me I knew I wanted to draw him somthing as a gift. Low and behold he inherited his wife to be's mothers cat... PING! There was the anwser, and this is how these pieces of work came about.

I started off by sketching the kittens in pencil, then inked over them with a dip pen and used a fine liner for the basket in the second drawing.
