The Witches of Scotland

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would post a snipit of what I'm working on now.

This is a quick rough sketch of the three witches from Macbeth, I have based the features of each character on people I know :P.
I have decided to illustrate each act with my five favourite scenes, for example this sketch is from Act 1 Scene 1.
I'm planning on refining the drawing and try out a bit of editing on the computer.

Christina Empedocles

I came across this artist not too long ago and I absolutely love her work. Her pencil work is fantastic, the drawings look like they are about to pop out of the page. Looking at her work, the concept is quite simple yet creates somthing very eyecatching. She also draws and paints people, but my favourites is her drawings of animals.

Danilo Kato

While browsing through the interwebs I found Danilo Kato's blog, his works are very intricate and delicate. he uses pens, ink and acrilics. I really love his black and white drawings.

Detective L

Recently I have been watching the Death Note Movies and reading the new graphic novels Death Note Black, and I have just fell in love with the character L. I decided to take screenshots from the movie and draw from them.

Usually when I paint with watercolours I tend to use the paint very thick on the paper, whereas for this piece I wanted to do the opposite and see if I could use the paint thiner . I started by painting the face and slowly building up the colours.

Then I started to add the finer details to finish off the painting.

I also tried a quick pencil sketch to make sure I could get his features right before starting my painting.

Hope you all like it.
